Mr. Plourde has worked in healthcare since he obtained his EMT license at the age of sixteen. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 and Bachelor of Arts in Medical Anthropology. He started his nursing career in the cardiothoracic ICU at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland and has since developed his passion for international nursing with trips to Peru, Brazil, Tanzania, India and most recently Nepal during the April 2015 earthquake.
Mr. Plourde currently works at the University of Washington Medical Center as an ICU Nurse Educator and foster our Nepal partnerships.
